This half-shekel coin, cast in silver and inlaid in an authentic Temple Mount stone mounted on a piece of olive wood, was found by a fourteen-year-old boy taking part in the Temple Mount Sifting Project - an ongoing archaeological effort that sifts through soil removed from the Temple Mount to recover artifacts otherwise lost to history. This coin dates to 66-67 CE.
The coin has two sides: one depicts a branch of a pomegranate tree with three pomegranates, the other bears the inscription "Jerusalem Kadesh" - Holy Jerusalem. Half-shekel coins were given by the Jewish people as a contribution to the Temple, as commanded in Exodus 30:11-15.

We've also consulted halachic authorities, who confirmed the stones (sourced from an area known as Solomon's Stables) are not considered holy and are fully permissible to wear.
