The Tower of David is one of the symbols of the city of Jerusalem.
The Tower of David is a citadel located near the Jaffa Gate. The structure visible today dated from different construction periods, mainly from the Mameluke time (1250 – 1517).
Archeological excavations conducted in the Tower of David are displayed in the garden inside the citadel. Today the Tower of David serves as a museum of the rich history of the city of Jerusalem.
