We begin our journey at the temple Mount, a place where heaven and earth meet – The holiest historic site sacred to more than half of the world’s population.
According to the bible God tested Abraham and asked him to sacrifice his son Isaac at Mount Moriah – this is the inspiration for the collections name.
1000 years later, at this location king David settled Jerusalem as his capital and his son king Solomon built the first temple at 950 BCE. This was also the location of the second temple mount know as Herod’s temple was built and later destroyed by the roman empire at 70 CE.

In Christianity the Temple Mount was the site of several important events during the life of Jesus, and in Islam it is where the profit Muhammed took to the night to bring forth the Quran.
